I will never get over removing the names of the dead. It will always be a strange and surreal experience; a complicated mixture of nostalgia for times past spent together, sorrow at their demise and our loss, and the absurdity that for me, the finality of the intersections of our lives is marked not with their death, nor their funeral, but with a simple click of a button, or eraser marks across a page.

I woke up Saturday morning (well, afternoon) after a night out and decided to use my slightly incapacitated state as an excuse to catch up on 30 Rock. Propping my head up on my bed to better see my computer screen, I realized that something was dried on my forehead and even a little in my hair. I got alarmed thinking it might be blood, then realized what it actually was: hot sauce. I had fallen asleep facedown into a late night taco. Classy. Lemon out!
